I have already posted about our trip to Paris this year in February which you can read about here. After Paris, we had planned to go to Italy, and visit both Venice and Rome. Our first stop was Venice, and this photo-log covers the two day Venetian experience!
February was luckily a great time to visit Venice as we found out when we got there! The weather was still cold but bright and sunny which made it very comfortable outdoors. We took the famous Gondola for a ride on the Grand Canal and took several pictures from the boat! It was a lot of fun ( and costs a lot of money!) and totally worth it! We had the most scrumptious ravioli and pizza at Venice and some amazing gelato after every meal!
The next day our hotel organized a day trip to Murano which houses the famous Murano Glass factory. We had a tour of their furnace and saw some amazing glass chandeliers being made! We also visited their showroom and it had the most exquisite glass ware and show pieces I had ever seen! Sadly photography was prohibited inside the showroom, and it housed some of the most expensive glass ware ever made.
The day after we left Venice was the Masquerade carnival! We were in two minds whether to stay for another day but then we didnt have too many days left on the trip and Rome was waiting!
I hope you liked the pictures! I’ll be doing a post on our Rome trip soon.
