A Not So Little Cult Beauty Haul

Cult beauty
It might look like I shop a lot , well that wouldn’t be too far away from the truth but hear me out! A few weeks back I got an alert from Cult Beauty for a 15% Friends and Family discount on Twitter. I hadn’t ordered from them before and this came as a great opportunity to try things out! I placed two orders and each of them arrived within a week! My God was I surprised!
Great service, speedy delivery, good packaging, winner!

I got the following things:

1. Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel

2. Lipstick Queen Saint lipstick in Eden

3. Aesop Parsley Seed mask ( 1 for me 1 for Mom)

4. Aesop Resurrection Hand Balm

5. EOS Lip balm

6. Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Whiz in brunette

The list ain’t too long eh?

Lipstick Queen seems a lot like the “Ray-ban” of lipsticks to me. “We only make lipsticks and we make them well!” I had been itching to try one of theirs and ordered a bright watermelon red Eden in the sheer saint formula, expect a review soon!

I received a couple of samples of the Parsley seed mask in my Paris haul, and wanted to get the full size. I also ordered their Resurrection Hand Balm which has received a lot of good reviews besides, a good discount was an added push!

The “Made-famous-by-beauty-bloggers” Oskia’s Renaissance cleansing gel went next into the basket! I have used it twice, and I think its a more of a cold weather cleanser, as its a tad too rich for humid weather. Ill report back in winter!

Cult Beauty

Another of those blogger favorite products, the Anastasia Brow Whiz was next on the list. Usually I fill my brows with powder and I feel its an added long step. I wanted something quicker and more natural so I ordered the shade Brunette which is a perfect match for me! Haven’t put it to much use yet, lets see how it goes!

Finally I couldn’t help but get another EOS lip balm which is the cutest lip balm pot ever! Its great for the handbag, very moisturising and the smell is really good for a little perk in the day!

I was sent a few samples with my order, one of which the Luminizing moisture tint from Jouer has caught my fancy! Its definitely on my wishlist, which is longer than my arm now! We could well be on our way to a “cult” obsession!

Have you shopped from Cult Beauty before? What are your favorite things to get? Let me know in the comments!

…speaking of “one for mom” my mom is actually borrowing my Parsley Seed mask at the moment! (Irrelevant, I know)
But it’s so nice of you to get her one! …considering how expensive they are. I definitely need to start looking into Lipstick Queen because I’ve only heard of the brand one other time and if they are brilliant, I check it out!

I’d love to try the Oskia Renaissance Cleansing Gel, I definitely understand how fellow bloggers inspired you to purchase it. I keep seeing it pop up and it sounds so luxurious and pleasant to use. I’m also curious about the Aesop mask, it’s been on my wishlist for ages but I haven’t splurged on it … yet!

I’ve always wanted an EOS lip balm, they’re so cute and super moisturizing! Looking forward to read your Oskia review post as I’ve heard a lot about the brand and the cleansing gel itself. x

I just got a small sample and that itself lasted me 4 uses!! I need to get a full size before I can review, but from whatever I have used the luminizing tint is very sheer, and strictly for “good-skin-days”!!

Hey! They have free shipping over 50 pounds and for goods worth less than that I think they charge 5 pounds shipping. Its not trackable, but before I could even start worrying about tracking I had received my orders! :D

That’s great to know. I now have another site besides beautybay and feelunique. I was getting bored of their stocks. Thanks for the quick reply.

Sorry for barging in on your conversation, but was wondering how you handle customs. I just picked up something from iherb and would you believe the custom fee is almost equivalent to the product cost. Robbery!!!!

India. Mumbai to be specific. Both my attempts have resulted in duty. Haven’t tried beauty bay or cult beauty though. Next up would be one of these; just to check the hypothesis you know, not to shop….too much. Just a teeny veeny bit.

I haven’t tried iHerb and Strawberrynet or others.. just these two and I think between the two of them.. most brands that I am interested in are covered. There is LookFantatsic.com that sounds promising and I read reviews about their delivery which sound positive. I am in Bangalore right now and haven’t faced any issues. One suggestion would be.. in order to save some shipping cost we usually tend to order a lot of things together.. if the package is big, customs is going to notice and then detain it.. try and order smaller things and in case of a big bottle try and place a single order.. besides no atomizers or spray bottles.. they usually get held up! Long story short be wise! :D
