Most Loved in May ’14

beauty favorites

So May gets officially over today and for the past few days my feed has been flooded by beauty favorites from everyone. I thought ill dedicate a post to my favorites for the past month, a first ever on my blog! There are some beauty and some non-beauty favorites which I have been enjoying and loving a lot so here we go!

Lets talk about beauty favorites first, I have been wearing my Dior Lip glow for most days this last month and now its almost finished. Its every bit worth the hype in terms of quality but I can’t say the same for the price. I would definitely want to get another one in future but for now I have something which is pretty much a dupe of it and slightly cheaper ! more on that in another post 😉

Aesop Parsley Seed mask has put all the other masks that I have, out of job! I had first tried a sample of this thing and was sold from the first try! I purchased the full size last month and have been using it every week and sometimes twice a week. Ill be putting up the review of this shortly so if you are interested to know more check this space out.

Summer to me means most of my makeup will melt itself off by 2 pm! My only option is a cheek stain and no one does them better than Benefit. I have been really loving wearing the Posietint and Sunbeam mixed together on top of the Real techniques buffing brush (which I raved about here) and buffing onto the cheeks. Glowy golden-pink improvised blush which lasts the whole day! If you own these, give this method a try!

I am a nude nail color fan all the way, but come summer and I love a little pop of teal-blue-green goodness on my toes! have been wearing this OPI number in Thanks a Windmillion almost everyday this month! it looks as pretty on the tips as on the toes and is a muted sort of a teal color which is very pretty!

Guerlain Aqua Allegoria

For fragrance I brought back in rotation, the Aqua Allegoria from Guerlain in the Flora Nymphea edition. It has top notes of Orange Blossom and hints of honey which is very fresh for summer! smells a lot like the Jo Malone Orange Blossom cologne, and I love both for this weather.

the home label

Among non-beauty favorites, I have been very pleased with this purchase from TheHomeLabel. You might have noticed it in several of my pictures. Its a beautiful white and gold pitcher for flowers and other bits which looks adorable at any spot around the house!

Tissot watch

For accessorizing, I have been in love with my Tissot watch all over again! I am gravitating towards more silver and white gold pieces this summer, and this watch goes perfectly with any outfit and jewelry. These earrings from Aceessorize were an old purchase, but I have been wearing them almost every second day this past month; dull-gold with little pearls, very pretty and feminine!

Ipad air 64gb wifi

I got a new iPad Air in the beginning of May and have been enjoying using it! I have a Macbook Air which is very light but because I cannot carry a laptop to work, I get the iPad along. The air version is much lighter than the regular one and with 64GB space I don’t have to worry about exhausting the memory.

Adidad Adistar Racer in red

Finally these super cool red Adistar Racer sneakers from Adidas have been such a comfortable and sensible buy. I love how snugly they fit and look really good with jeans and shorts alike, love them!

In other stories, we have an upcoming vacation in Spain in July! We got our tickets sorted and places booked.. need to get the visa formalities done now and we are set. Expect a lot of posts on my travel packing and blah blah over the next few weeks!

What have been your favorites for the last month? Anything from my favorites you like? Let me know!

You can join me on Bloglovin’ and Twitter and get regular updates from me! Happy Sunday and a glorious week to all of you! :-)

I loathe the Benefit tints because they set so quickly, but I need to try putting them on the buffing brush first so that they don’t stain my face so quickly with I dot them on my face! I haven’t reached for my Aesop mask in a while, but this post has been a reminder that I should 😉
I got my mom an iPad mini for her birthday last month with the same blue cover! Sometimes I use it, bUT DAMN, EVERYTHING LOOKS SO MUCH BETTER ON A MAC SCREEN.

Vanessa, I hated the tints for the same staining problem, till I started first putting it on the brush and buffing it on the cheek! That is fool proof! :-) Seriously the MAC screen makes everything much nicer, clearer better and the colors so much sharper!

Love the shoes! OK, I like the look of many other pieces here too, but my own sneakers just died, so I’m in a sneakery mood. How can a rogue sneak without her sneakers, hm? 😉

    • Divya

Oh yes absolutely! 😀 These are the most stylish + comfortable sneakers I have ever had! In fact I have never been a sneaker fan before till I got these! :)

Heh, you’re tempting me! I’ll have to raid a couple more good dragon hoards before I can trample goblins with Adi Dassler in my party, however 😉

Lovely picks, Divya! I’ve been curious about Dior Lip Glow, but I almost never wear a lip balm during daytime (usually a thick layer before bedtime is enough). I love Aesop, but can’t say I was impressed by the mask when I tried a sample sachet. I’d love to hear how it works for you tho!

Ha ha! 😀 My God you saw that! 😛 Ever since Google added the “Promotions” page I am flooded with junk! What can I do? 😛

    • Divya

Hey Livia! I am so glad to see your comment! The first right? 😀 Oh yes Dior Lip Glow are all fab but the dupe is quite good too! lets hold on to the suspense a bit longer 😛

    • Divya

Oh you haven’t?? Their tints aren’t an instant hit with people as they involve a bit of work.. but Benefit blushes are great! I love sugarbomb!
