Where do I begin? Lets just say this is my favorite color for the cheeks? or maybe my favorite blusher of all times? This blush has a huge following of its own, and a lot has been said about it already. When I first came across this, about two years back, I wasn’t sure it would show up on me. But, I took the plunge anyways following Christine’s review of it, and two years later, I can say that I am happy I followed my instinct.
For the sake of completion let me describe this. Its an earthy-mauve-pink color which translates as a very natural flush on my cheeks and gives a subtle contour + color. The Amazonian clay in the blush is supposed to have skin benefits, and reduces pores, and for all that it means, this blush has never given me any problems and does not accentuate any redness, pores or imperfections. Its matte, plenty pigmented, but not overtly so that I may have to be careful.
As described by the brand, the blush is long wearing,on me though, when I wear it at 10 in the morning its still there on my cheeks (evenly) at around 8 in the evening before I take it off.
I recently hit pan on this blush (the pictures were taken before), and this could be the only other blush at that.
I got a backup of this one, this Jan, so there is enough “exposed” to last me a while. The new pan somehow looks a bit different from the used one, but I hope once it gets in use it’ll show up the same way on me.
As a lot of you would agree, the only snag here is availability. Tarte can be ordered online from Sephora by those in the UK, and of course the US, but the rest of us are still deprived. If you have friends or family visiting state-side, I cannot recommend getting this, enough!
You can check my quick review of other Tarte blushes in this post. You can see me wearing Blissful in a recent post here. I will use it in a look soon, so that you can see how it looks on me, so excuse the lack of that in this post.
Do you have Exposed in your blush stash? Love it or hate it?
I have heard that Nars Douceur is very similar to this, but haven’t tested that theory myself. What do you think?
Got around completing a lot of office work today, before our trip which starts tomorrow. Happy Friday to all you lovely people and hope you have a good weekend!
Talk to you soon!
