June is over! I have no idea where this year is disappearing? Last time I checked, I had just gotten married and we were on a walkabout in Paris! Besides the point! Clearly, I am very slow at finishing up products.. as its nearly the middle mark for this year and I only have a few things to be proud of finishing up! Most of the stuff I have been using for more than 6 months, about time I shared my thoughts!

I have a very concise and strict skin care routine, part of which I have covered here, here and here, and more will up in the coming weeks. In between I wanted to finish up a few products which were less than half left and just sitting their eating dust. My observation is that, I somehow lose interest in stuff after using up about 2/3rds of it, and then it gets shelved somewhere because something new would have taken its place! Some sort of “65% used curse”! Thanks to which I always buy skin care with the most recent manufacture date, because I know that the poor thing has to sit idle for a few months before it gets used up!

Fresh Soy Face Cleanser $15 for 150ml I hardly see any one talk about this cleanser. I guess it has to do a lot with the fact that, Fresh does not have too many stores outside of the US (if at all). This cleanser caught my fancy about  couple of years ago, and has been a staple for me since. Its an extremely mild gel-like cleanser, with a very faint odour and zero foam. It goes on clear, very soft in texture, does not foam and washes off easily. Its not a miracle cleanser (which no cleanser is IMO) but is fuss-free option for my mornings. I have a thing for fuss-free stuff, I have used that adjective in every post in recent times!

ITG has a few Fresh recommendations here, if you fancy reading! This is a silent resident of my bathroom shelf, and will continue to do so!

Repurchase : Yes Please! (have a backup)

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturising Gel $26 for 125 ml Finally finished off this mega-sized bottle! This one again.. is a no-nonsense, simple moisturizer. I have been using the gel-based one for the last few summers (yes!) and its great stuff! It non-greasy and works well with spf and makeup. I am not repurchasing this only because I have moved on to more “complex” stuff like this one I spoke about here.

Repurchase : This is way too overpriced in India, which makes me cringe! I will definitely pick it up once I am stateside but not right away!

Bioderma Sensibio H2O Micelle Solution £9.99 or Rs 850 for 250 ml I have two more bottles of this somewhere in the house. This is my second bottle of Sensibio this year, and I have nothing bad to say about it! I don’t wear much eye makeup everyday so this works really well for removing the first layer of grime and makeup off my face everyday (like I said, no-fuss! :P). I follow it up with a proper cleanse, but the cooling effect of this at the end of the day is something I look forward to! I wouldn’t call it a must-have or even rave about it, but for my practical purpose this is really good!

Repurchase : Yes!

Clarins One Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser $35 At long last I finished this one! Not that I did not like it, in fact everybody in my house must have used it, and my brother actually said that he really likes it! Just. Imagine! its a very gentle exfoliator with microbeads, and something that I can use everyday if I want, but I don’t. I have bought a different one recently so not repurchasing this, but it definitely will come home again some time!

Repurchase : For Sure!

Clarins Instant Eye Makeup Remover $28 This is really good stuff. A lot has been said about this already so I am not going to go in depth. I love it, its gentle yet effective and the best I have tried. I actually have a bottle of Nars eye makeup remover, a similar bi-phase product, sitting to be tested, so not buying this immediately, but I have be-friended the lady at Clarins, who graciously hands me a travel size bottle of this every time I am around! Lots of love to her! 🙂 I have tried stuff from Lancome and Chanel and the effectiveness is no where close to this. It does not sting or irritate my eyes and the best thing, does not make my lashes break. winner!

Repurchase : Always!

Caudalie Beauty Elixir € 32 This was a strange product to me when I first bought it. I had read a review on Rae’s blog and right after I was in Korea where I picked this up from. After a few spritzes, I started to appreciate the after effect of this both in terms of smell and feel. This one gets mixed reviews everywhere, and not a necessary product at all, just a good one to have! I already purchased the large bottle of this from my trip to Paris and that should last me a while.

Repurchase: May be if I don’t find something better 🙂

L’occitane Rose 4 Reines Velvet Hand Cream Rs 1200 This hand cream, although not as effective as the Shea Butter hand creams from L’occitane, are moisturising enough for day time and summer. I love the smell of this which is perfectly rosy and whenever I squeeze some out it cheers me up. I have repurchased this already, and this one lasted me a good 6 months.

Repurchase: For summer yes.

Makeup empties MAC Cliniwue Dior lip glow MAC tachnakohl brownborder

Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Balm $32 There is a mini crisis here. The lip glow is out of stock in my city and currently on the top of my purchase list for Spain! probably in multiples! This is my most worn lipstick/lipbalm of all times, and I cannot be without it! I have actually tried the Tarte version of it, but there is much to be wanted. Its extremely moisturizing on me, look lovely and I am completely ignoring the price of it! I am also considering getting the lip maximizer this time!

Repurchase : Again and again!

Clinique All about eyes $30 0.5 oz This did not wow me much, although this was my second tub of this. I like it in the day, and it moisturises adequately, besides, any cream eyeshadow goes really smoothly over it, but for any thing else this didn’t really work. I am already eyeing the Pai eye cream which I have heard a lot of good things about, and with the Rosehip oil working so well for me, I have huge expectations from it.

Repurchase: Probably not

MAC CareBlend Pressed Powder $25 I have raved about this powder in my MAC Favorites, and I think it was about time I got rid of it. Its been around for nearly 3 years (eeks) and about time I trashed it. But this one is pure love and definitely a repurchase worth, although I am also lusting after Dim Light in full size, so might wait before I spend!

Repurchase : Yes!

MAC Technakohl eyeliner in BrownBorder $16 I am so glad its finally over! The worst eye pencil I have ever tried! Such a waste of money, poorly pigmented, hard on the waterline, the list is endless. I have Uniform from this line and also Auto-de-blu, which surprisingly works slightly better.

Repurchase :  NEVER!

So there! I hope to finish a lot more products the next time a similar post is scheduled. What major product did you finish recently? Let me know in the comments!
