A perfect black bag is an illusion, one that I have been in far too long and the quest for which is endless in my mind. Having spent hours browsing through Nordstrom’s handbag section last summer I bought, what came very very close to my perfect bag definition. This Coach number has been my most loved accessory for over a year now.
Now that autumn is upon us, its time I slipped back to my uniform of black + denim. In the recent wardrobe purge I found out I have 3 different chambray shirts, each one with something unique to it. A light blush simple denim, a dark blue, and my most recent purchase, a motif denim chambray from CAT. The CAT one is thick so not suitable for summer but definitely something that can be layered in autumn and fall. It has a flattering cut and is more fitted than the others so can be worn on its own as well.
I usually pair my chambrays with black skinny jeans or leggings as in the picture, and wear the buttons open with a simple black or white T shirt inside. The leather Mango leggings above are from a couple of years back and I cherish them! They were very pricey and I had “investment” running through my mind when I snagged them but so glad I did. They are versatile, flattering and uber chic and I can wear them with oversized white shirts and denim without much of a thought.
A white tank top is an unsung hero in my wardrobe. The number of ways I wear this is countless and for the colder months its a perfect layering piece inside.
Paired with a nice low black pumps and a statement necklace over a simple white tank and the chambray, I channel my inner “cool” quite effortlessly. The Daniel Wellington watch hasn’t gotten off my wrist since I got it and because the bag + the watch = perfection I am sorted for the upcoming season!
Sea foam and emeralds are my favorite colors for jewelry. Pastel green like the one above is a pretty addition to any look without being too striking or changing the theme of the outfit. To me they have a similar feel as pearls which I sometimes find too dressy for everyday. These danglers were a very special purchase from South Korea and among my favorite pieces of jewelry since. My skin acts up with silver, so I cannot have these on for very long, but that does not deter me from going back to them time and again.
Of course no autumn style for me is complete with a bit of color on the cheeks for mimicking the “flush”. My go to is the Chanel Destiny blush (for the umpteenth time!) and that it delivers a bit of cheekbone is just one one of its many charms!
