One of the most exciting discoveries for me this year has to be Pai Skincare. I have been guilty of switching my skincare WAY beyond the healthy limit and from clear, spotless to reddened and sensitive, my skin has been through everything. That said, a little switch-up with a change in season or change in skin tolerance is definitely permissible and welcome. This skincare line though has changed my fickle ways (well almost)!
I am pretty new to Organic product group but the idea of using clean, chemical-free, non-toxic beauty product on my face and body has a firm nod from me! I am constantly learning about things through and consuming as much information as possible so as to make an educated choice rather than one induced by hype. Enough ramble lets get on with the interesting part!
Little bit about my skin first. Until July and August my skin was combination, with an oily T zone (not excessively) and prone to shine by mid day. Come September and dip in temperatures has made it less oily and slightly drier on the dry areas. My chin area just under the lower lip and the area right around the nose are most prone to milia and breakouts. I have no known allergies to any ingredient but oily, fried food is my skin’s mortal enemy! In the future months I am going to have a non-oily skin which may or may not get very dry.
Starting off the review with Pai Bio Regenerate Rosehip Oil £20 which is also the first thing from the brand that I tried.
What is it : A “thin” consistency, orange colored oil which looks really pretty in a cute glass bottle! Comes with a dropper which allows you to draw just the right amount of product every time with no wastage. It is suitable for all skin types. It contains very high concentration of Pro-Vitamin A, Carotenoids (colorful plant pigment which the body can turn into Vitamin A) and Omega 3 6 7 and 9. It is a super multi tasker which not only hydrates, improves firmness, cures damaged skin, provides suppleness softness, fights dark spots, also works on stretch marks and fine lines! phew!
Thoughts : This was the first product from Pai which I got my hands on. I have been using it since March of this year and my skin has been combination all those months as I described previously. In all of the time I have used it, I find that it balances my skin, combats dullness, left over marks/dark spots and subdues fresh breakouts to some degree. Its not an anti-blemish treatment for my skin but definitely a good post treatment tonic. Its consistency makes it suitable for hot weather.
How I use it : I need about 4 tiny drops of this to cover my face. It takes a bit of massaging to sink into the skin and if you use too much product there are chances you might be left with a bit of grease. I have only gone through 1/3rd of the bottle so far, so a little does go a long way! I don’t use it every night only about 3-4 times a week.
I make sure my skin is freshly cleansed and supple when I put it on as that seems to help the product sink in better. The scent is very natural and disappears after a while when you have massaged it in. I have never woken up with an oily face when I have used it, when used in the right amount its absorbed completely and the skin is very hydrated and glowy in the morning.
I have also used it in the day on very “dehydrated skin days” and it sinks in perfectly and never made me oily! The amount used is key here!
I had read a lot of mixed reviews on this product before I bought it, and was pretty skeptical. Thankfully, this has been working very well in keeping dehydration at bay and my skin clear which are the only two things I ever find myself bothered with. I would say though that I do not have a majorly blemished skin so I wouldn’t notice as much difference as someone else, but that should not take away points from this oil which is actually a really good one!
If possible definitely try this out before spending, only to make sure you get along well.

For UK and US readers Pai can be bought off their website and Spirit Beauty Lounge. For my compatriots BeautyBay is a safe option and Pai is also available on LoveLula.com and Escentual.com which ship worldwide for free.

Happy Weekend everyone, I’ll see you soon with another review! 🙂
