This post has a little back story which goes to the time when I was three! Bright sunny day, my mum busy with her chores, I was playing by myself and chewing on some gum when it hit me that life would be so much more interesting with that piece of gum on my brows! Swell idea I tell you, white brows.. who’d have thought!
With a firmly stuck piece of gum on my brow I fell asleep. Hours later mum comes looking for me and finds me with a big blob of gum stuck firmly on my face! I’ll skip the details of how it was pulled out, but I ended up with just one brow! Quite a look if you ask me! That little incident blessed me with a wonky brow. It never grew back normal.
So long story short, my brows are not even sisters, more like strangers from different countries! Imagine having one side of your face in a perpetual state of surprise… OK! may be its not that bad.. a 6 on 10?
I have been on the hunt for that ONE brow product which would make up for the lack of similarity in my brows and the lack of adequate makeup skills in me. Being as lazy as I am with my everyday makeup I have been unabashedly skipping doing anything to my brows for years. Earlier this year I got hold of the famous brow whiz from Anastasia with bundles of hope! But as it always happens, me, brows and brow things, we are not a team! So like all things which need a little work, it was shelved and shut until Anna brought it back in vogue!
I have been practicing with this a lot the past few weeks and I think I may have finally managed to get a hang of it! Its actually pretty simple. I just fill-in with the lightest hand possible, only in the sparse areas, in the direction of hair growth, and brush through. I try and keep the whole thing natural, and given the fine nib it has, there isn’t much room for error!
It comes with a spoolie on one end, which is firm and stiff and so so good. I use the shade Brunette which sometimes seems off and sometimes looks perfect.. I am still to know!
I wouldn’t say I am a “brow-whiz convert” yet but we are getting there! So while I practice my brow equalizing skills you might want to get hold of this wonder because seriously, if I can work it ANYone can!
