Here we are with the next in the series! Had it been someone else this would be the part where the excitement mounts but me? I am disappointing to say the least! There has hardly been any change in my routine, in fact I stayed away from all the new foundation releases and pretty much swore off makeup-shopping towards the end of the year!
When it comes to my base I try and pull off the no-makep-makeup-look as best as I can. A hint of makeup with no obvious foundation lines and no hard contours is me in my elements! As with the bases, my blushes/bronzers or should I say “blonzers” are earthy, brown, and barely there!
The Dior Nude BB Creme is an oldie but a goodie like they say. I realised its full potential only this year and its what I’d reach for with my eyes closed now! If you are like me and haven’t yet warmed upto foundations but love a bit of coverage, GET THIS! This is Dior’s answer to all my makeup prayers (calm down calm down!)
A new one this year was the Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint which I have spoken about in detail here. I love both the versions but on a good skin day there is nothing better than the Luminizing base and its glow.
Ever since I discovered the genius that is the Real Techniques contour brush, it has revived my love for the YSL Touche Eclat. On most days this is all I need under the eyes and I am good as far as covering the bags goes!
The blonzers like I said, are my preferred option for the cheek, read Tarte Exposed, Chanel’s Destiny and MAC’s Gingerly! I shared my love for these here and I rarely wear anything else. Talking of rarely, Tarte’s Blissful is the closest I get to a peachy pink color and I have actually shown it a lot of love this summer.
I bought a new bronzer from Clarins, part of their limited edition summer collection. This humongous compact containing bronze-brown powder perfection has no orange tones and looks AMAZING on. It barely fits in my palm but a big compact comes with a BIG mirror which is a plus! This palette is an annual release from Clarins so hopefully you’ll see it again on the counters in 2015! *fingers crossed*
If you’ve been reading this blog for a while you’d have seen me mention my Chanel highlighter a lot! I apologize for bringing up a limited edition product but this is the best highlighter I have seen, worn or swatched! Not a word more!
Finally, cannot end the post without mentioning my much loved Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. This has travelled with me every where this year and it has everything for an emergency powder situation! The quality is as good as it comes and the compact is the best travel and purse friendly design I have ever owned. Tried and tested!
Clearly the choices are all boring and routine! I’d love to know what new you tried this year and loved! Something I should look into next year?
