Addicted To Frizzy Logic

Original and Mineral Frizzy Logic Hair Serum review Original and Mineral Hair products review

If you’re someone who exercises self control on a regular basis, doesn’t get sucked into buying everything that gets a few thumbs up, has a manageable stash of beauty products.. Well done you! Even though I do a good job at restraint, its another story when we are talking hair. After spotting Original and Mineral here, and seeing as it was discussed on ITG a few times here, I could feel a brow twitching and a familiar curiosity surging..!

Not much was to be had in terms of reviews but whatever I found, it seemed the star of the O&M show (An Australian hair care company) was The Frizzy Logic. Now, how does one say no to something that has such a catchy name, comes packed with certified organic oils, and smells deliciously of coconuts.. COCONUTS!

This is a leave in shine serum packaged in a dinky very very dinky bottle which holds 50 ml of this precious liquid (The disappointment of a small bottle hit me more after I realised how good this stuff was!). Formulated to tame curls and frizzy hair this is a runny liquid; runny enough to not feel sillicone-y at all but not so much that it slips through your fingers. It comes with a tiny nozzle on the bottle which dispenses a very small amount every time so there’s no wastage. Although no formal recommendations are listed, I think a few drops are enough for mid length to long hair.

The best part about using it is that even if you load up your hair with this it doesn’t make it oily or weighed down at all! I need little more than a pea size amount for my waist length hair, run it through the length (keeping it a safe distance from the scalp just to make no “greasy” mistake), and it is instantly absorbed. It is extremely lightweight (emphasis on ‘extremely’), and when used on damp hair it feels like it just evaporated! Though in about five minutes my hair almost untangles itself and I have the silkiest smoothest texturized hair naturally. I have mentioned it before that I always dry my hair naturally which can lead to unnecessary waves and frizz but this just takes care of everything!

You know the feeling when your hair isn’t forming lumps and not sticking to your scalp but thick and flowy with a body of its own.. and no matter how windy or humid it is it just stays that way? Frizzy Logic does that to my hair and I am so glad I found this! I almost look forward to using it after every wash, which makes me happily wash my hair more frequently, which is not a good thing, but.. who cares! It does contain silicones but is free from sulphates, parabens and host of other controversial ingredients.

I find it much much less viscous and silicone laden as my other favorite Kerastase’ Elixir Ultime and while Kerastase is the gold standard for shine serums, Frizzy Logic is a pretty fantastic product in its own might! I actually have been using ONLY this on my hair ever since it arrived nearly a month back and my hair feels grrreat! A smaller bottle also means its more portable and travel friendly as compared to my Elixir Ultime which looks better sitting prettily on my wooden dresser!

I found myself a bottle (or two!) here, and its available here for purchase if you are in the USA. O&M is also available at Selfridges and Net-a-Porter online here and here.

The ingredients list reads something like this: Cyclopentasiloxane & Dimethiconol, Cyclomethicone, Argania Spinosa Kernel (Argan) Oil*, Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Oenothera Biennis (Evening Primrose) Oil*, Aloe Barbadensis (Vera) Leaf Extract*, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract*, Camellia Sinensis (Green Tea) Leaf Extract*, Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract*, Phenoxyethanol, Parfum (Fragrance)

*Certified Organic

Given how good the Frizzy Logic has been to my hair, I can already find myself itching to try more from them.

Let me know if you’ve beaten me to this goodness and tried it! Have you used Original and Mineral?
