Innsbruck Photo Diary

innsbruck city

The beautiful city tucked away in the Alps. I’ll be honest, I was never very good at the “Name, Place, Animal, Thing” thing and up until the trip I had not heard much about Innsbruck. As fate would have it, a week before we were to set out an abrupt cancellation of our stay at Munich happened and suddenly an opportunity was thrown at us to change our plans and squeeze in another city! So, between Vienna and Munich (both of which I’ll share more on) we visited Innsbruck for a couple of days and it turned out to be my favorite place of all!

Innsbruck is a popular destination for winter sports none of which was to be had in the middle of September but inspite of the absence of snow this picture perfect town had me swooning. Pastel colored buildings, a bustling city center, view of the Alps.. my perfect vacation! We took the cable car and went up more than 7000 ft to the Hafelekar peak. The view, needless to say, was spectacular and I have plenty of pictures to share with you.

Our stay here was short and sweet but this is my fondest memory from the trip.
